Practice Nurse Strike

Our practice nurses will be on strike on Monday 9th and 23rd November for 24 hours. They are reluctantly taking this action as they want pay parity with their hospital colleagues and there has been no progress in talks with the Government.

We support our practice nurses in this action as they provide a very valuable and essential role in general practice. On those days, we will not be able to offer any practice nurse appointments or phone calls. For some patients, we may have to ask you to attend the Emergency Department as we will not be able to manage your condition in general practice without a practice nurse.

COVID Awareness

Thank you for all your support over the last few months helping keep us all safe from Covid. We are still using our “cabin” to see anyone who has coughs & colds. We will continue to ask you the “covid questions” when you ring up or attend the practice. This ensures that we safely only see patients in the building who do not have any covid symptoms. We have the QR code on the door and in the waiting room, so please use this.

Our aim is to continue to keep our patients & staff safe. We believe it is important to keep these measures in place until the Covid risk has significantly reduced.

Dr Murray Robson Reduced Hours

Murray has decided to reduce his hours in general practice to 2 sessions per week. He is continuing with his rest home work. We know many of you will be sorry not to be able to see Murray regularly but any of the other doctors will be able to see you.

We encourage you to try and see the same GP so that you can both build up a relationship and get to know each other. Murray has complete confidence that he is passing you onto very skilled doctors.

COVID-19 Update October 2020

Currently we are level 1 in Christchurch. If you are unwell with a cough, cold, fever or have been in contact with anyone at risk of COVID, an appointment will be arranged for you to be seen in our dedicated cabin facility out the front of the building. Please call our team if you have any questions or develop symptoms prior to a routine appointment. Hand sanitiser and masks are available for all patients.

COVID-19 Update

During the outbreak of COVID-19, we will be restricting our services to make sure our patients and our staff are safe. We will be offering video call medicine but, as we are an essential service, our offices will be open to accept patients that need our care. Please be aware that this service will be on a one-person in, one-person out policy.

If you have the following symptoms:

  • Dry Cough
  • Fever
  • Generally Unwell

Then our team would recommend getting in touch with your doctor BEFORE making a trip in to see us. To find out more information about COVID-19, please click here
